On May 27–28, partners of the SCEPTER project gathered in Tallinn, Estonia, at the premises of CAFA TECH OÜ for the project consortium meeting marking the first six months of collaboration.

During the meeting, all project partners reviewed key milestones, discussed current progress, and outlined future development plans. The SCEPTER project aims to create modular and interoperable systems by establishing standardized hardware and software solutions that will increase operational flexibility while minimizing electromagnetic spectrum consumption.
The project design will integrate advanced antenna technologies and state-of-the-art solutions to meet strict airborne platform requirements related to size, weight, and power consumption. In addition, the program addresses important challenges in thermal management and signal integrity to ensure reliable performance across a wide range of operational environments.
“Face-to-face meetings are very important for projects of this scale and complexity,” said Daniel González, Project Manager from INDRA. “It was encouraging to see all partners available for two days of productive discussions, technical exchanges, and strategic planning. These meetings help strengthen collaboration and ensure that all partners move forward with a shared vision and common objectives.”
On the second day, project partners met for a technical workshop focused on reviewing progress and advancing the project’s activities. The workshop began with opening presentations and updates on the status of the project, followed by discussions on key technical topics and an interactive session. A significant part of the day was dedicated to collaborative discussions on the Concept of Operations (CONOPS), where partners exchanged ideas, reviewed operational scenarios, and worked together to align requirements and objectives. These discussions provided an opportunity for participants to share expertise, address challenges, and strengthen cooperation across the consortium. The workshop concluded with a presentation by INDRA on “Enabling Technologies for a European AESA Multifunction RF System,” highlighting technologies relevant to the project and future developments.
The consortium would also like to express sincere thanks to the team at CAFA TECH OÜ for the excellent organization and warm hospitality throughout the meeting.
